SSL Certificate Monitor ยท Last updated: March 2, 2026

Overview

SSL Certificate Monitor is an iOS app that lets you track the expiry dates of SSL/TLS certificates for domains you add. The app is designed with a privacy-first approach: your data stays on your device and is never sold or shared with third parties.

Data We Collect

๐ŸŒ

Domain Names

The domain names you add are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults. They are sent to our certificate-check API solely to retrieve SSL certificate information.

๐Ÿ””

Push Notification Token

If you enable push notifications, your device's FCM token and your domain list are sent to our notification server. This information is used exclusively to deliver expiry alerts and is never shared with third parties.

๐Ÿ“‹

Certificate Data

SSL certificate details (expiry date, issuer, validity) returned by the API are cached locally on your device for display purposes only.

Data We Do Not Collect

๐Ÿšซ

No Analytics or Tracking

SSL Certificate Monitor does not include any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking library. Your usage patterns are never monitored.

๐Ÿ‘ค

No Account Required

The app does not require you to create an account. No name, email address, or personal identifier is collected.

๐Ÿ“

No Location Data

The app never requests or accesses your location.

How We Use Your Data

๐Ÿ”

Certificate Checking

Domain names are sent to ssl-certificate-monitor.autocompany.workers.dev to retrieve current SSL certificate information. No domain data is stored on that server beyond processing the request.

๐Ÿ“ฌ

Expiry Notifications

If enabled, your FCM token and domain list are stored on our notification server only to schedule and deliver expiry alerts. You can disable notifications and delete your data at any time from the Settings screen.

Data Retention & Deletion

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

Local Data

All locally stored data (domains, certificate cache, check history) can be removed by deleting the app from your device.

๐Ÿ”•

Notification Server Data

Turning off push notifications in the app's Settings screen automatically removes your device registration and associated domain list from our notification server.

Third-Party Services

๐ŸŽ

Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) via Firebase

Push notifications are delivered using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), which routes messages through Apple's infrastructure. FCM is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Other

๐Ÿ”’

Children's Privacy

SSL Certificate Monitor is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
